IN WHAT POSITION SHOULD I PLACE MY BABY FOR SLEEPING?
Recent studies have shown that there is a lower incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in infants who sleep on their side or back. For normal healthy, full term infants, the position for sleep should be the side or the back.

However, there are some infants who should be placed on their stomachs. These are premature babies with severe breathing problems, infants with severe spitting up or infants with upper airway abnormalities. If you have any questions, please discuss with your pediatrician at the 2 week check-up.
